Think that I’ll go downtown
A chill is in the air
Gonna get a little gift
for someone I care about
Think I’ll get some chocolate at
Encore Chocolate and Teas
Gonna hit up Rainy Day Records
For Christmas Songs from Beat Happening
Christmas In Olympia
Going to the Capitol Rotunda
Gonna hug their festive tree
Gonna head to the Capitol Theater for
Procession of Species Christmas Jamboree
Rolling up to Eastside Big Tom’s
Get my girl a candy-cane shake
Hangin’ out in Sylvester Park
I think I see that first snow flake
David Scherer Water say
41 bars in our downtown
That’s a lot of Christmas cheer
Baby gonna meet you at the Rhythm and Rye

Hot dog – it’s Christmas
What could be anymore fun?
Hot dang –it’s Christmas
Those blues are on the run
We go hop-hop-hoppin’
Down the street
on a happy holiday
We go sing-sing-singin’
Merrily in the new old fashioned way
Hot dog - it’s Christmas
That snow is fillin’ the air
Hot dang it’s Christmas
There’s mistletoe everywhere
It’s time-time-time
For Christmas treats there’s eggnog in the air
There’s a goose-goose-goose
Were gonna eat
Let mean ol’ Scrooge beware.

I’m a lonely little Christmas tree,
I’m so far from home
I ain’t got anybody I can call my own
No little boys and girls, nobody for me
That’s right, baby, I just a lonely Christmas tree
And that is why I cry at night And that is why I call out your name
And that is why I call out for you
Another lonely night, nothing I can feel is right
Nothing I can find or see or do – NO
Now Santa loves my baby, he takes her out on the town
And she will not turn on my lights, the heart of my soul is a frown
I just need a sweet position now it its so plain to see
Santa’s got my baby and she’s looking at another tree
The sky is crying on this miserable Christmas day
The sky is crying and there ain’t nuthin that I can do now to chase it away
I’m a lonely Christmas tree so far from home
I’ve got nobody I can – I can call my own
Ain’t nobody nobody nobody nobody waitin for me
Nobody wants this lonely little Christmas tree
Nobody wants this lonely Christmas tree

Propane Santa (Acoustic)

True story from Howie
From an email from Howie
Today, December 15, 2011,
I took an early lunch because it was slow.
At a truck stop in Sumner, as I was waiting in line to buy my apple juice
I noticed a guy who looked suspiciously like Santa Claus.
True story from Howie
He had long curly white hair and beard (real).
Under his gray coat, he was wearing a red shirt.
He didn't have the hat or pants that Santa would wear,
But he looked the perfect Coke Santa otherwise.
I didn't want to bother Santa if it was his day off,
So I said nothing.
I paid for my juice and went back to my truck
To eat my lunch.
As I was eating I noticed the Santa man waiting to get propane.
When the clerk was done filling the tank
He put in the back of his Chevy pickup and
He was gone.
He was gone
True story From Howie
Is there a song in here somewhere?

It’s Christmas and we love you
It’s Christmas and we love you
Don’t forget we love you
Love Christmas love
It’s Christmas and we’re hungry
It’s Christmas and I’m hungry
We love to eat the fruitcake
Especially cherries
Buy me a present
A whole lot of presents
But don’t buy me a Lexus
People don’t really buy each other Lexi
It’s Christmas and we love you
It’s Christmas and we love you
Don’t forget we love you
Love Christmas love
Love Love Love Lexi

Back in the summer life seemed so nice
But baby now we’re heading to Paradise
Everyone knows it will soon be Christmas Day
Wrappin’ up the presents
Puttin’ up the tree
It’s time to get ready don’t you agree
Everyone knows it will soon be Christmas Day
Christmas is coming quickly
Christmas, my skin gets prickly
Thinking ‘bout it
Such a special day
Christmas just around the corner
Christmas feel your heart grow warmer
Everybody’s waiting for this day
A little bit of mistletoe can be fun
Come sit by the fireplace I won’t run
Everyone knows it will soon be Christmas Day
You know they’re waitin’
Anticipatin’
Don’t want to wait no more!

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nick would soon would be there.
There’s No Lou this Xmas
And it’s alright, it’s alright
Some people they like to go out dancing
And other people, they have to work,
And there's even some evil mothers
Well they're gonna tell you that everything is just dirt
You know that women never really faint
And that villains always blink their eyes
Well I say to you and I say to Lou
Merry Christmas to You and good night
There’s No Lou this Xmas
And it’s alright, it’s alright
Goodnight Lou

Gather up your family
Gather up your friends
Hold close those that you hold dear.
Take your time with them
Hear the words they have to say
Count those blessings for the year
Christmas is love
Christmas is love for you
Gather in the kitchen
Sit before the fire
Watch the evening turn dark blue
Take part of your day
To greet the world outside
Help others more unfortunate than you.
If you’re feeling lonely
Misunderstood
You can let it go today
There is help now coming
If you only let it
Take a look outside
In the morning we may travel far away
To the places we call home
Before we leave let’s make a promise to hold dear
This day we shared and hope for many more
Christmas is love

Listen close the snow is falling
Feel it in the air
People everywhere can feel the change
All around the world is calling
Time to lend an ear
Isn’t it quite clear to you?
Because it’s Christmas
Let me hear your heart
Halfway ‘round the world they’re dying
Halfway ‘round the world they’re crying
How’d we ever get in such a mess
Where do we get standing tall
Where do we get when we fall
Mother father brother sister
What's the test?
Because It’s Christmas
Let me hear your heart
Make a difference today
